Personal Development Progress

This last month has been a whirlwind for us. Our bathroom renovations turned into an office remodel as well. We had to stay with our in laws for a few days due to the construction.

Daniels car broke down for a few days. He lost his prescription glasses and had to replace them. His “indestructible” wedding ring broke in two pieces and is still being repaired. His phone took a complete💩 and he also had to get a new phone.

On top of this our neighbor stole from my car. We had to have the cops come out and get a police report going. We’ve had to buy security cameras and change our door locks. It’s just been one thing after another but we keep getting back up.

I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety for many years and the progress I’ve made since it started is something I want to start sharing more with you guys.

While most of these things happened to Daniel, it still has a great effect on me and my family as a whole because financially, we are one unit. Moments like this are built to test us and it can either make you or break you. Since I started working on my personal development, I’ve recognized minor problems like this can always be solved and they don’t require my emotional investment.

We just have to take what life throws at us and give each other support and understanding. Life is always going to come with hurdles but how we handle them with grace and kindness allows us to move freely into the next phase of life.

Navigating life and healing with depression & anxiety is a constant choice you have to make every day. I am proud of myself for the progress I’ve made in my growth journey and it is important to acknowledge that.

Are you giving yourself the time to acknowledge these moments in your life? What obstacles have you overcome lately? Comment 1 thing you’re proud of yourself for today so I can help cheer you on! 🥳👏🏼 #personaldevelopment #depression #strongwomen #mentalhealthawareness #proudofyou #ptsdrecovery
